My Favourite High Street Pieces

Bouclé Pinafore Playsuit, Topshop, £48
This outstanding piece screams Chanel chic with its bouclé design and pale pastel colouring. This simple yet effective pinafore is definitely a winner and is a reasonable price at £48. Team with French Sole quilted ballet flats and if you're feeling adventurous, throw on a matching tweet box jacket (seen here
or for a more casual yet trendy look, wear with a vintage biker jacket.

Fringed shorts, Topshop, £48
These ombré coloured shorts are a sure winner teamed with a simple round neck black tea or black sleeveless collared blouse. You simply can not go wrong with fringing. Dress this outfit up with black chunky wedges and a statement necklace, or wear it down with a simple black jacket and baggy tee.

Jacquard jumper, Topshop, £42
Jacquard is all over Topshop this month, meaning it is soon to be all over the high street. This knitted tile jumper oozes designer and its fabulous cobalt/royal blue colouring screams chic. Wear with skinny tapered black trousers and patent leather loafers, or for those of you who want to stand out, team it with the matching skirt! (seen here:  http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=6752339&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208525&parent_categoryId=203984&pageSize=20)

Bow Tie, Miss Selfridge, £4.25
Accessories any outfit with this simple yet effective silver studded bow tie. Add an edge to a plain shirt by including this staple item in your look. At £4.25, this is a bargain not to be missed.

Collared top, American Apparel, £36
This silky collared top is simple but will add a quirky edge to whatever you wear it with. As it is only plain, the list of things it can be teamed with is endless. Available in black, cream, coral and blue (as well as berry, worn above), i would be tempted to buy this in every colour

LFW: Street Style

I thought it would be a new idea to do a post on the actual style of the people watching whats on the runway this LFW, instead of just the clothes that are walking on it. Half the time, the images i see online following London Fashion Week are of people outside shows and sat front row, so i thought maybe it was time they got to share the limelight. Perspex heels can be seen below, a trend i have recently shared my love for. From boyfriend Michael Kors watches to Celine bags and Marni shades, i'm sure you agree this lot know their stuff.

DESIGNER: Jeremy Scott S/S 2013

I am 100% utterly and completely obsessed with this line. It is absolutely amazing and i am even more obsessed with the models used for the show. (Mainly River Viiperi). Every female piece i can imagine on Rihanna, which makes me thing Scott used her as a muse and inspiration. Luckily, Rihanna must be a fan as she wore the gold plated basketball jersey (see below) during a recent on stage performance, and as usual, looked amazing in it. This collection is outstanding, think Fresh Prince Of Bel Air meets Joey Essex meets dominatrix equestrian, mixed with Cavalli cool, and throw in a few Jeremy Scott autographs while youre at it  (..and breath!....yes...its that crazy). From printed horse riding helmets to thigh high boots, flat caps and gold plated machine gun embellishment, absolutely NOTHING has been left out of this range!

TREND: Perspex

At first this trend just reminded me of Physics at school and learning how light travels through objects, but eventually it grew on me and now i am completely obsessed with it. Featuring in many shows during this years fashion week, the perspex trend is certainly here to stay. Used mainly for accessories like clutch and box bags, perspex is a simple yet effective fashion statement (it just means you need to be careful what you keep in your handbag!). Other pieces featuring perspex this year have been wedges and flatforms.

TREND: Slogan Sweaters

Spotted on the fashion A-listers such as Kate Moss and Rihanna, you can simply not go wrong with the chic and stunning slogan tee or sweater. Many designers have come up with various simple but shining examples of how less really means more.  From Rodarte to River island, this trend is one simply everyone can afford to be part of. Alexa Chung has shown her love for the slogan top as she continues to add to her growing collection, whether its being worn front row at fashion week or simply out and about. This trend is definitely
suited for the "cool girl around town" look.

BRAND: The Ragged Priest

The Ragged Priest is a new up and coming brand which is sure to mess with your head. Featuring all things denim, bleached and studded, this new brand has something for everyone, especially the individuals out there. Captivating models display the likes of chunky knitted cardigans featuring harsh studded arms, as well as chic accessories like a black leather studded clutch bag. One main piece which stands out to me (seen below) is a camouflage, denim and studded jacket (yes it features all three), this piece takes urban renewal to  a new level and is certainly on my wishlist. I also shall be saving for the cute yet quirky leather waistcoat featuring studding, however, coming in at £120, might mean i wont have my hands on it for a while.

Tortoiseshell Sunglasses

I am on the look out for a good high street copy of these Illesteva (£270) and Thierry Lasry (£265) thick tortoiseshell sunglasses for my summer holiday in july. I am in love with the two designer pairs, however i also love a pair i have found from Urban Outiftters for just £16. However im going to keep hunting in case any more catch my eye, but up to now my favourites are definetly the Urban Outfitters pair as i think they
are a great compromise!

ASOS

Too many things i wish i had from ASOS. As soon as i get a job, asos will be one of the first places i spend my hard earned cash on. Here are a few things i long to have!
