LFW - Topshop Unique A/W 2011

Topshop didnt fail to impress during LFW this year. With a noticeable link to 101 dalmations throughout the collection, complete with white fur, black spots and an evil muse of Cruella DeVil. Hair was placed tightly in to two high buns, resembling dog ears, and noses were cutely drawn upon to look like dog noses.Spots were consistent throughout the collection, whether it was on the models nails, boots or garments. Fur trims were spotted on the runway (no pun intended!) as well as cute satin bows and chic black eyeliner, showing impeccable detail.

Leather Legs

I am currently craving a pair of leather leggings. ASOS boasts two pairs, one basic pair and another pair of leggings teamed with leather panelling (my favourite pair of the two). Leather is a trend that never fades, and is obviously more commenly known for the staple leather jacket, however maybe this new trend will be just as successful.

LFW - House Of Holland A/W 2011

Henry Holland was back with his usual bang on the 19th February with his Autumn/Winter collection for 2011. The usual fashionistas took their seats on the front row, including Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof, as well as Marina Diamondis and Nicola Roberts, with Geldof and Roberts both wearing items from HOH s/s 2011 collection.
The collection has two noticable themes; 60s chic as well as the usual playful prints being layered with heavier fabrics. The collection includes many pieces which show a visible connection to the sixties, with knitted vest and jackets, as well high waisted flares and cropped jumpers over collared shirts, with deep oranges, camel tones and purples linking to autumn. Tailored jackets and pants contrast with slouchy and unstructured dresses and tops. However the HOH trade mark quirk style shines through with subtle accesories like pastel striped socks/tights as well as original prints proving Henry Holland has still got the style that is known and loved.

The Ultimate Accesory Crush

Many people may know her as the "bitch" from The City, or maybe as the famous New York Socialte, but like me, others may see Olivia Palermo as the ultimate accesory addict. Whether its her brown leather Berkin bag, or impecable taste for all things gold and metal (including her statement mens style wristwatch), theres a reason Palermo is perfect for her role as accesory director at ELLE. She may be sporting a foral and flowing maxi dress, and decide to pair it with a colour popping clutch, or maybe shes wearing a long sleeved formal jumper, her choice of diamonte encrusted necklaces and rings are two perfect examples of why we love her.
